Hi everyone,

Client asked for a specific behavior on PrestaShop 8.1.7: Crear un tema hijo basado en Classic o Hummingbird en PrestaShop 9.

Tried configuring it via standard shop parameters, but the core options are too limited for this case. How do you normally handle this without risking issues on future updates?

Our accounting team asked for the exact same thing last month xD We tried hacking an override once, broke right after the first minor update. Let's see what @Milo suggests.

Did you check if other shipping modules are interfering? Although knowing PS 9 core, there's simply no native setting for this specific flow.

There isn't a single direct toggle for this in PrestaShop 8.1.7, but you can often work around it natively:

Check International > Locations or Shop Parameters to verify that groups and zones are mapped correctly.
In Catalog > Discounts (Cart Rules), make sure conditions aren't mutually conflicting with delivery restrictions.
In Design > Positions, verify that checkout modules are placed on the appropriate hooks.

Give this setup a try – in many cases it gets the job done natively without extra overhead.

Followed your steps in the admin panel and it worked! Didn't have to touch any code. Thanks a lot @Milo for the help!
